My name’s Betty. I was born, raised, and have been having a whirlwind love affair with the city of San Francisco since June 2nd, 1985 – Gemini babies rock! I’m Chinese, very proud and fascinated by my heritage, but at the same time very, very whitewashed, and I guess “American,” – though that’s not much to be proud of these days. I’m short – I stand at 5’2”, but I often hang out with kids shorter than me so it’s all good. I have black hair, brown eyes. I weigh probably too much for my height, but then again the weight for my height is Barbie’s weight after she’s done binging, so you’d never know.
I’m currently attending school at a University, where I don’t know what the hell I’m majoring in… I like marketing and I’m kindasortamaybe interested in Law, and possibly doing writing on the side. My school is located in a small ghetto town close to Sacramento. Suburbia is foreign to me, yet fascinating at the same time. I’ve learned in my freshman year of college that I can’t be happy for too long outside of the metropolitan. I’ve never been to half these places but I intend on charting them all before I die: London, Tokyo, New York City, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Paris and Milan.
I develop fixations and dive into different fandoms more times than you’ve told “your mama” jokes as a kid (and if you were a 90s kid like me, that’s a hell of a lot). But when I actually stick around and grow passed obsessed to dedicated are far and few moments. So far I can list two at the top of my head: the Backstreet Boys and Harry Potter. Laugh it up – it’s teeny boppery and fangirly (in that respective order) but it’s true and I’m not ashamed, at all.
I love music. I can’t function properly without it. I can't write without it either, for that matter. I love TV… I could probably live without it, but I’d miss it sorely. I love pop culture, it’s my guilty pleasure. I love my family, I would die for them. I love my friends, some like I love family. I love (certain) sports, I was never an athletic kid, though. I love reading, anything that’s good except science fiction. I love writing, as if you haven’t figured this out by now.
For an extensive list on things I’m desperately clingy and in love with, as well as things that I’d gladly assassinate, had they’d be able to take material form in front of me – visit the Love/Hate section.
More inquiries? Ask, and I promise to tell, no matter what. And just for the record, I break promises sometimes (but that’s another bio to write).
